This is an attempted translation of a dramatic oratory monologue I heard in the Malayalam movie 'Black'. The scary prose was delivered by the antagonist, Devin Carlos Padaveedan, played brilliantly by the actor Lal. The powerful monologue delivery was further embellished by the darkness of the situation.
This was the original prose, in Malayalam:
"Ekkumodugatha jeevithasakthikal thoongi maricha vazhiyambalangalil, kaaramullin kireedavumayi naam thedinadannathenthinu? Soukhyamo? Mrithyvo?"
The villain, 'Padaveedan vakkel' says this aloud while driving a knife into the heart of the young police officer. It is raining and the police officer is bounded by a few goons.
I do not know the origin of this and any help would be appreciated...
